Information about the processing of «Compassana» data within the SWICA environment

1. Information and responsibility for data processing

The purpose of this data processing information notice is to explain how data is collected and processed when you use the Compassana app (referred to below as «Compassana») in the SWICA environment.

Bluespace Ventures AG («Bluespace Ventures»), Am Stadtrand 11-13, 8600 Dübendorf, is responsible for processing personal data in connection with the use of Compassana. All queries regarding data processing in Compassana should be addressed directly to Bluespace Ventures. You can find more information about how data is processed within Compassana here.

SWICA Healthcare Organisation, Römerstrasse 37, 8400 Winterthur, is responsible for data processing only where this is explicitly specified in this information notice or in SWICA's General Insurance Conditions (GIC). If Compassana is used in connection with an insurance model, both the GIC and the data privacy statement in connection with an insurance contract (data privacy statement) apply.

If the data processing relates to SWICA, reference is made to SWICA's data privacy statement for the applicable legal basis, the terminology, the purposes and the rights of data subjects, unless explicitly stated otherwise below. You can find the data privacy statement here.

2. Basis for data processing

All processing of data by SWICA is performed either on a statutory basis or on the basis of consent or a legitimate interest. Compassana offers you the option to request, via Compassana, all or parts of the personal data SWICA holds about you. SWICA will comply with this request provided that you have given the necessary authorisation (see section 4 c) below).

3. Categories of data processed

When Compassana is used, the data specified in Compassana's data privacy statement is processed. Depending on the purpose of use, the following data stored at SWICA may be processed: master and contract data (such as first name, surname, country of residence, date of birth, email address, phone number [mobile]), health data, data about other insurers, data about services providers, family doctor (if available in the insurance model), data about the product you have selected.

4. Data processing procedures

Compassana data may be processed for a number of purposes. Bluespace Ventures is responsible for the processing of data in Compassana itself. With your consent, SWICA may provide assistance for the following data processing purposes:

a) Single Sign-on
Provided that you agree, you can use your SWICA login as a Single Sign-on (SSO) for Compassana. Your consent is required before the data can be used for SSO. By giving your consent, you agree that SWICA may send the following data to Bluespace Ventures: Insurance card number (VeKa number), date of birth, country of residence, email address, phone number (mobile)

b) Special Compassana applications
Compassana offers a number of different application options that users can use independently of the SWICA SSO offer or an alternative insurance model. You can find the provisions relating to these data processing processes in Compassana. Bluespace Ventures is responsible for these data processing processes.

Compassana also offers you the option to request all or part of your data from SWICA via Compassana, in accordance with section 2. Provided that you have given Bluespace Ventures the appropriate authorisation to release your data, SWICA will send the requested data to you via Compassana. SWICA accepts no liability in connection with the transmission of data in this context.

c) Alternative insurance model
If you have selected an alternative insurance model with a limited number of service providers in accordance with Art. 62 KVG and if use of this insurance model is contingent on the use of Compassana, your data will be processed as follows: In this case, the processing of the insurance contract will be primarily governed by the data privacy statement and the relevant GIC. The provisions of Compassana apply to the use of Compassana.

When using Compassana in connection with an insurance model, the following should also be noted: The data referred to in section 3, in particular health data collected in connection with the provision of the service by a service provider under this insurance model, may be shared via Compassana between other service providers to enable implementation of the insurance model. The data privacy provisions of the relevant service provider apply in relation to the processing of data in connection with the provision of the service.
