Switzerland was ranked 13th in the World Happiness Report 2025. Given that our country is safe and prosperous, what more can we do to help make Swiss people (even) happier?
Fulfilling a long-held dream makes you happier over the long term. And helping someone else fulfil their dream has also been shown to make you happier. That is what inspired two former entrepreneurs to found A Million Dreams, a charitable organisation whose mission is to get people dreaming and motivate them to fulfil their own dreams and those of others.
What your community coins are doing
A Million Dreams wants to make people happy. Your community coins go directly towards funding the work of this non-profit organisation. Their support helps with the following:
- Fulfilling the dreams of disadvantaged people: A Million Dreams fulfils the dreams of people with a disability or serious illness or who have experienced adversity, and brings joy into their lives.
- Walk of Dreams: The Walk of Dreams, a walk through various locations in Switzerland, enables the participants to explore their own dreams. The walk provides inspiration and motivation to actively fulfil these dreams.
- Dream stories: The illustrated 'Traum-Geschichten' (Dream Stories) book describes the dreams fulfilled by A Million Dreams in simple language. A QR code at the end of each story takes the reader straight to a video of the dream being fulfilled.
