Optimise your premiums with a higher excess

In mandatory basic insurance, you get a premium discount of up to 47% (up to 50% for children) when choosing a higher excess. Click here for more information.

You can define a new excess amount to come into effect at the beginning of a calendar year. This means observing the following deadlines:

• Reducing your excess: no later than 17:00 on the last working day in November
• Increasing your excess: no later than 17:00 on the last working day in December

Please note: With SWICA's cross-border commuter insurance (KVG compulsory Swiss health insurance), an excess of 300 francs is the only option available. It is therefore not possible to increase the excess.
