How the doctor list model works
Under the Favorit Medica doctor list model you can freely choose your doctor at any time from the comprehensive Medica directory. The santé24 online practice is also there to help you on +41 44 404 86 86.
- Extensive choice of hospitals
- The doctor treating you can refer you to any other doctor in the Medica directory.
- Will you be needing medicine for an extended period? If so, you can ask a mail-order pharmacy to send the prescribed items to your home discreetly, securely and conveniently. You can find out more about mail-order pharmacies at: Medication service.
- No co-payment (does not affect your excess and deductible): For any telemedicine services that santé24 provides (advice, consultations with experts and doctors), as long as basic insurance covers them. Exceptions include: advice and consultations in conjunction with nutrition advice and the psychological/psychiatric counselling service.
- You get a discount of between 0% and 11% on your premium When you switch from the Standard basic insurance plan to the doctor list plan, SWICA gives you a discount of between 0% and 11% on your premiums. The exact discount depends on where you live, your age and your chosen excess. Below, we have provided examples of how the minimum and maximum possible discounts are determined under the doctor list plan: Minimum discount: Adult aged 26 or over, living in Wetzikon, excess: CHF 300, no accident cover, standard premium: CHF 505.50, with 0% discount: monthly premium of CHF 505.50. Maximum discount: Adult aged 26 or over, living in Bern, excess: CHF 300, no accident cover, standard premium: CHF 645.10, with 11% discount: monthly premium of CHF 574.10.
