How the pharmacy model works
Under the Medpharm pharmacy model, you consult one of our partner pharmacies or call the santé24 online practice (available around the clock) on +41 44 404 86 86 for health-related matters.
- Possible to get a rapid initial medical opinion without an appointment at a SWICA partner pharmacy or through the santé24 online practice
- If our partner pharmacy or santé24 cannot resolve the problem for you, you can choose your doctor from the comprehensive Medpharm directory. Your doctor can refer you to any doctor in the Medpharm directory.
- No co-payment (does not affect your excess and deductible): For any telemedicine services that santé24 provides (advice, consultations with experts and doctors), as long as basic insurance covers them. Exceptions include: advice and consultations in conjunction with nutrition advice and the psychological/psychiatric counselling service.
- You get a discount of between 8% and 19.5% on your premium When you switch from the Standard basic insurance plan to the pharmacy plan, SWICA gives you a discount of between 8% and 19.5% on your premiums. The exact discount depends on where you live, your age and your chosen excess. Below, we have provided examples of how the minimum and maximum possible discounts are determined under the pharmacy plan: Minimum discount: Adult aged 26 or over, living in Oberdorf, excess: CHF 300, no accident cover, standard premium: CHF 444.50, with 8% discount: monthly premium of CHF 404.50. Maximum discount: Adult aged 26 or over, living in Lausanne, excess: CHF 300, no accident cover, standard premium: CHF 676.20, with 19.5% discount: monthly premium of CHF 544.30.
